Make Lemonade

Hello! Alison here. This week, the White Rose Crafts team is focusing on die cutting. WRC carries lots of great dies...some that are stand alone, and some that work with stamp sets. My card for today uses Jillibean Soup Jar dies that coordinate with their Lemonade stamps.
The last time I had used this stamp and die set, I stamped and die cut a bunch of the fruit slices, wedges, and jar lids so that it would save me time in the future. These pre-made pieces really came in handy when making this card!
Besides the fruit slices and wedges, I added some "Well, Yellow There" Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. I like the tiny microbeads in this Blend. They look like bubbles, and really help things move around in the shaker. I backed my window with a piece of cardstock that I applied Distress Oxides to. I used Salty OceanFaded Jeans, and Peacock Feathers. For my sentiment, I used VersaFine Clair ink in Twilight, and on top of that, I stamped the Kaisercraft Fading Dots stamp with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.
My background is a piece of Kaisercraft's Kaleidoscope paper (what a great paper pad set it is!) on top of a white card base. I like the "bubbly" look the background paper ans Fading Dots stamp give to the card. Lemonade isn't usually bubbly, I know, but it could be!
Playing with dies is a lot of fun, and can really transform your cards. White Rose Crafts has a lot of fun options for you, from many different brands. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Live Life in Full Bloom

Hello! I have a new DT project for White Rose Crafts, featuring Kaisercraft. I just received the Kaleidoscope paper pad, and was immediately inspired by the beautiful colors and faux textures on the pages.
I picked this one out of the lineup because of how springy it is. I love this color palette. And because the background is already beautiful, I really didn't have to do much to get a completed card.
For my sentiment, I stamped an image from Kaisercraft's Greenhouse Collection of Clear Stamps on another piece from the Kaleidoscope paper pad with Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink.  Behind the sentiment, I added a piece of Mulberry Lace Paper, just for some added soft texture.
I also added a few sequins from the "Springtime" Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. That Blend has the perfect colors to go along with this collection. On my card base, I rubbed on some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide and then dripped some Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Gold to get some of the oxidation happening but with added shine.
This is a simple, but pretty card that didn't take long to create. I love that White Rose Crafts has so many wonderful products that makes it easy to create simple cards like this one. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

St. Thomas Layout

Hello! Alison here. I've got a new scrapbook page to share with you for my latest Design Team project for White Rose Crafts. Each month, we feature a specific company for about a week, and this time, it's Kaisercraft. I have loved Kaisercraft for a very long time. In fact, back when I owned my scrapbooking store, they was a company I ordered from frequently. This layout today uses a bunch of their newest products.
This photo is of my husband, about 3 years ago when we went on a cruise. This photo was taken in St. Thomas. I love the colors and textures in the photo, and I knew I wanted to create more layers, textures and add in similar colors to my layout.
I first used Kaisercraft's Greenhouse paper pad as a jumping off point. That gave me some ideas on what to do with colors and other elements. I have the Greenhouse Clear Stamp Set and I used the terrarium image with Rose Gold embossing powder to create a geometric design in the lower right corner. I love how it turned out.
I knew I needed some color. Stains or drips of color. So I broke out my Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Antique Linen, and Iced Spruce. I added the color in a few ways, but mostly by dipping the layout into watered down inks that I put on my glass mat. I got some really great drips that I think help your eye move around the page. Those 3 Oxides work beautifully with the Greenhouse collection.
I needed some shine, and to break up that upper left corner. So I used Kaisercraft's Grunge Stencil along with some Nuvo Expanding Mousse in Worn Linen. I did not heat set it to make it expand. I wanted the crosses to remain thin and delicate.
I also added an element from the Greenhouse Collectibles Die Cuts. That "postage stamp" really adds to the idea that this photo was taken someplace other than where we reside. I popped it on to some dark blue cardstock, which I dripped some Rose Gold Metallic Mixatives (from Ranger). Talk about shine! It looks amazing in real life. I love how this scrapbook page turned out. It's filled with items of interest, has just enough color, and of course, the photo is the star of the show. Kaisercraft is definitely a favorite company of mine, and I always enjoy working with their products. You can get many items from them over at White Rose Crafts LLC. I'll be back soon with another project. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Shabby Chic Wall Key By Kim

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This time I have done a home decor item! I got this heavy chipboard key from a local box store, and I thought it would be perfect to alter with lots of amazing items from the WRC Store.

The first step is to paint the sides and any areas that will show with some paint. I used a multi surface paint for this and it did the trick nicely. I also took the key and traced around it on some of the gorgeous Lemoncraft Yesterday paper.  Once the paint was dry, I used Mod Podge to stick down the paper.

While the key was drying, it was time to get out my embellishments and alter them to go on the key.
I used some fun chipboard pieces from the WRC store, and also the metal heart and flower are from the shop also.  I added some of the same paint I used on the key to the pieces and then added a touch of pink paint as well to pick up on the colours in the paper.

Once everything was dry, it was time to layer on my pieces.  I got out some Recollections flowers and used one of the Melissa Frances resin keys in the middle of the chipboard heart with wings
You can also see some of the Altair Art butterflies and one of the pieces from the Dress It up Glitter Beach Button Set in the photo.

On the end of the key, I added some more flowers and the metal flower, along with a bit of the chicken wire chipboard, and a little butterfly to finish it off.

Of course everything got a lovely coat of Dovecraft glitter glue in Crystal, it makes everything sparkle!  The final touch was some of the Distress Oxide Spray in Picked Raspberry to make the pink stand out on the paper and flowers, it added just the right mixed media touch.

It turned out so pretty, I am going to hang it up in my bedroom!

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and have found some inspiration here.
Thanks for stopping by!
