Featured Design Team Series: Lemoncraft Scripty Eclipse Card by Amber MacMurtry

Lemoncraft Scripty Eclipse Card
By Amber MacMurtry

Its a new White Rose Crafts Inspiration week & the Design Team is focusing on Die Cutting techniques, decoupage and die cuts this week. One of the popular new techniques that's taken the card making world by storm is Eclipse cards. I love their subtle, elegant look, and decided this was the perfect week to give it a try!

I selected this delicate, scripty Enjoy the Little Things sentiment die by Couture Creations and one of the pretty 4x6 ephemera cards from the Lemoncraft Daydream collection and die cut the sentiment from the center of the image, making sure to save all of the little pieces.

Next I cut 4 more sentiments from black cardstock & stacked them using glue to adhere them together, and then adhered my patterend sentiment as the top layer. I used a roll of pink glitter washi from my stash to create two vertical borders on either side of a top folding A2 white card base. I then trimmed 1/8 inch off either side of the die cut ephemera card, so more of the sparkly border would show, and I adhered the panel to the card base using double sided tape. Then I fit the layered up sentiment into the die cut opening, using wet glue to adhere. I added the little interior bits into the letter openings.

I scattered around some pink and blue rhinestones to embellish, and added a generous coat of clear Wink of Stella on top of the sentiment as a final touch of sparkle and to help the sentiment pop a little bit more.

I hope you enjoyed my card today, and that I've inspired you a little bit to try a new die cut technique for yourself!

Featured Design Team Series: Die Cuts 2 Ways by Laura Wolff

Die Cuts 2 Ways
By Laura Wolff

Hi everyone, Laura here! It's a new week and a new inspirational theme at White Rose Crafts called the Kindest cut of All. It has been such a fun week playing with some new items and die cuts.

Today I am going to share a really quick and EASY way to make stunning cards, and the best part, it is fairly cheap to do!! I have to admit this was the FIRST time ever playing with this style of card. It is called a 3D decoupage style card. There are several companies that sell the 3D sheets and White Rose Crafts have several brands to choose from!

I chose to use the Craft Creations Bible and Flowers die cut pop out sheet. These come in a flat sheet that are already colored, cut out, and ready for you to just assemble with some pop dots for dimension. It is like paper layering by number, literally! So simple but stunning.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my second card, I went with a more traditional style, and was still a lot of fun!
I fell in love with this Quilted Backdrop die by Lawn Fawn and knew I had to have it. There are so many possibilities with this die so be on the lookout for more to come using it.
I also used the Lawn Fawn Toadally Awesome stamp set on this card. By the way, the recipient loved it for Father's Day which made it all that much better!
All of the products that I have linked to in this post are on sale until June 30, so hurry and get yours and remember to use Coupon Code: KINDEST CUT to save on all Cutting Dies in the store!!
Featured Design Team Series: Asian Inspiration by Donna Coughlin
Asian Inspiration
by Donna Coughlin
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My obsession with Asian paper products right now is a little bit out of control, and the papers over at White Rose Crafts LLC is not helping! Hi, Donna here with my designs for White Rose Crafts.

So today I would like to celebrate We are the World and Die cut pop outs.
For the fan I made a half of a rosette and punched out a 1inch circle from the Japanese Paper Pack. For the birds and some of the flowers I used some of the Craft Creations die-cuts and added a pop tab to the tab. See how the birds and flower pop?

A thank you card I made, I used the ink on the thank you chipboard pieces.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My next project is for We are the World. I made this folding screen card. The Craft Creation Birds in Blossom Die-Cut Pop-Out Sheet was used again use pop tabs for the flowers. I also used some tiny pearls, black cardstock and Scrapberry's Japanese Dream Paper Pack 6x6.
Both Craft Creations and Scrapberry are based in UK and very hard to find in the USA. Both have unique quality products but lucky for us can be found at White Rose Crafts LLC.
I not very good at drawing but I tried to give each girl a unique face using fine tips Sharpies and after several tries I found the ones I liked the best . I think this will look super cool with a battery tea light in the center! I made the Kokeshi girls by creating them myself on the Silhouetet Cameo. If you would like the file please email me and I would gladly send it to you. (Personal use only!)
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked what I created!
Featured Design Team Series: Heffy Planner & Glow Shaker Card by Laura Wolff
Heffy Planner & Glow Shaker Card
by Laura Wolff
Hello, Laura here & I'm taking over the White Rose Crafts blog for the day. Today I am sharing 2 different projects featuring Inky techniques. First is my Heffy Doodle planner spread:
I started with a stencil from my stash and masked it off. Then I used Bundled SagePeeled Paint, and Lucky clover Distress Oxide inks. I applied the lightest color at the top then blended the mid tone and then the darkest at the bottom to replicate the color of grass. I stamped, colored, and cut out images from Heffy Doodle Eggcellent News stamp set. I glued the images to my planner with some liquid adhesive and finished the spread off with some sentiments from the stamp set and some little hearts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For my second project I made a glow in the dark shaker card. I used Lawn Fawn Glow in the Dark embossing powder for this effect. I started by inking  a strip of paper with Versamark ink. I coated that with the embossing powder and then while it was still hot, I added 2 more layers of the powder on top so it was totally coated. I then die cut out 3 rectangles on a 4x5.25 note card that I had used Distress Oxide inks on, blended together to create an evening glow. I added foam adhesive around the inside of the rectangles to create a shaker box.

Next, I added in some Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends  Flaming Sunset for the shaker elements. I glued the glow in the dark strip behind the shaker piece and then I glued all of that to the front of the card base. I stamped, colored, and cut out fireflies from Lawn Fawn's Little Fireflies set. This set comes with dots that you can stamp and emboss with the Glow in the Dark embossing powder to put beneath the little behinds of the fireflies to make them glow. So I added all the fireflies and stamped the sentiment.
I made a little flag using Lawn Fawn's Light's Out stamp set to let the person who gets the card know it glows in the dark and we are done!

What a fun project this one was!!! I hope you were inspired by my creations today, to go and get INKY!

Featured Design Team Series: Embossed & Inked Vellum Flowers Layout by Donna Coughlin

Embossed & Inked Flowers Layout

By Donna Coughlin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi there, Donna Coughlin here with another creation using White Rose Crafts LLC products.
Today my layout is all about inking, and I want to show you how I made the blue flowers using velum, embossing powder and ink, below.
I have two types of flowers on here. The white ones are Recollections which I inked with some Scrapberry Light Brown ink, as well used the brown ink on the edges on the scallop.I also used Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Oxide inks on the edges of the flourishes.
A close up of the upper right cluster. Interested in those flowers? Well keep scrolling down.
First grab a flower stamp and and stamp away on a sheet of velumn. I did about 16 flowers all together. Emboss with white embossing powder, but I think any matching color you want will work.
Next press the backside of the flower onto the ink pad.
I wanted to show you what the back looked like in the light - it doesn't have to perfect, as a matter of fact I prefer it that way.
Next I spritzed with a light mist of water and used a heat gun to dry. Then cut out the flower.
On this one I stacked and glued 3 flowers and squeezed the tops of the petals together. For the center I glue tiny pieces of velumn scraps to the center with glue.
There are so many possibilities and I hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
