Featured Design Team Series: Sweet as Honey Layout by Donna Coughlin

Hi everyone, Todays layout is of my son's oldest and youngest child. He just loves his baby sister so much and it is so sweet to see how they interact together and how protective he is of her!
So since this week at White Rose Crafts we are "Getting creative with Critters". This two children are "Sweet as Honey" together and honey made me think of Bees!
When I saw these Martha Stewart Dimensional Bee stickers, I just had to have them and make a layout.
With bees I thought it would be great to do a honeycomb patterned layout and this is a great way to smaller paper packs. You get so many designs in one pack and many packs are double sided. The paper in Authentic Bundle (Faith) that I used had patterns on one side and the second side had different shades of whites and beige. So I used 7 different sheet and cut out 2 honeycombs from each. Around the page I put different elements from the  Martha Stewart Dimensional Bee stickers.

 Coincidently I found an old sticker I had that had Sweet as Honey on it to use as my title! I laid a Dovecraft Paper Doily partially behind the photo. and some other little elements around the title sticker. I also have tons of these little wood hearts and I thought it would make a cute a banner with some black and white twine.

Featured Design Team Series: Craft Creations Layered Layout by Donna Coughlin

Hello everyone!
This week at White Rose Crafts LLC we are doing "Lovely Layers and Darling Dimensionals" So I would like to present to you this layout I did using layers of Craft Creations, flowers and stickers.  I started with Craft Creations Baby Boy Wording. My next layer I took Craft Creations Blue Baby Plaid and free handed the wavy cut and inked the edges to make them stand out a little. I then took DMV thread and hand sewing a straight border. My next layer is a sheet from Craft Creations UK 8 x 6 Paper Pack: Baby Blue pack. That was hard choosing from so many sheets which sheet to use!

After I add the photo I started layering embellishments. Down below you can see I layered lots of different embellishments in clusters. I used flowers such as Recollections Dimensional Flowers , White Paper Calla LiliesRecollections Baby Boy Dimensional Stickers, and Woodware Adhesive Shaped Ribbon-baby boy.

Featured Design Team Series: Too Cute Shaker Layout by Donna Coughlin

Too Cute Shaker Layout
By Donna Coughlin

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share a layout of my sweet little grandson who just turned 6 months old that I did for the White Rose Craft LLC design team using fabulous Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends. For this layout I used the Silver Lining pack.
What I did was cut the word TOO CUTE from black cardstock and using the Fuse tool created pockets with Sparkle blends inside, then attached them to the back of each letter. Then taking a different sheet of paper I covered the pockets with Craft Creation 8x6 paper pack - baby blue. The I took the Woodware Shaped Ribbon - Baby boy and draped it across the middle of the layout.

Next the fun part was to embellish the layout. You can see close up how the Sparkle Blends are a great addition to the layout. The little bear below was from Anita's Decoupage Foiled Sheet -Bear Buddies (So cute!) and the Recollections Dimensionsal white flowers I added a little blue into the center by mixing ink and water to dilute it. Adding lace that Amber at White Rose had sent me to the back of the flowers really enhances them. AA few more items like a ribbon, brad and metal sign that I had in my stash completed the layout.

Hope you enjoyed my layout and thanks for stopping by.

Featured Design Team Series: Ships Ahoy: Pirate Layout by Donna Coughlin

Ships Ahoy: Pirate Layout
By Donna Coughlin

Hello, this week at White Rose we are celebrating Ships Ahoy and when I think of ships I think of Pirates. Here is my son meeting Captain Hook, "acting" like he was scared but you can see by the expression on his face, he loved it

I did using pirate papers from Scrapberry and Craft Creations from White Rose Crafts LLC. This layout was so much fun to do with these papers and cutouts. To begin with I took a sheet of green cardstock and cut the ScrapBerry's The Pirate's Treasure Paper Pack Matching Treasure Map (Double-Sided) 12" x 12" in two pieces. the long strip is from the left hand side of the paper and the square in the middle is the other side I trimmed about 2 inches from the bottom of the sheet.

For the title I used a cutout from the Craft Creations Pirates! Die-Cut Pop-Out Sheet and the adventure part with with parrot I did some fussy cutting using the ScrapBerry's The Pirate's Treasure Paper Pack Matching Embellishment Sheet: 12" x 12.

For the cluster down below I first added some fibers I found in my stash and  once again I did fussy cutting using the ScrapBerry's The Pirate's Treasure Paper Pack Matching Embellishment Sheet: 12" x 12 with the barrels and the palm tree and used some cutouts  from the Craft Creations Pirates! Die-Cut Pop-Out Sheet.

Featured Design Team Series: Graduation Shaker Card by Donna Coughlin

Graduation Shaker Card
Hawthorne Hills
By Donna Coughlin

Hello everyone, Today I made these two graduation cards for the White Rose Crafts Design Team. I used the Aspire Pure gold and Silver ore cardstock. This week we are celebrating "School is Cool". Since I have two graduations in 2019 this was the perfect time to get a head start on graduation cards.

The tassle I made with DMC thread, if you need instructions on how to make this (they are really easy) just google tassles. The alphabets are Woodware UK Dazzle Sheet - Gold Lower Case Alphabet and is also sold at White Craft.

This second one I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the stars and the date and using a page protector and the Fuse I made the large star that is in the center and the medium size black star in the lower left hand corner of the card I used. Once again I filled the stars with Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends - Shooting Star For the date and the silver stars I added Dovecraft Glitter Glue Silver. I used the ASPIRE Petallics Silver Ore Card Stock - 8 1/2 x 11 in 98 lb Cover Metallic.

Featured Design Team Series: Donna Coughlin - Mermaid's Tail Layout

Mermaid's Tail Layout
By Donna Coughlin

Today I did this layout for White Rose Crafts LLC Design Team. Since we are celebrating summer this week I thought I would do this layout. We took our granddaughter to the beach last year and I took this photo of her sitting on the beach. With a little magic from Photoshop she turned into a mermaid! When I saw this Mermaid's Tail: Dolphin paper from Kaisercraft, I knew I had to do this layout. I cut the frame and the swirls going up the left hand side from the Silhouette.

To make the swirl look more magical I used a mix of
Around the frame I used various items from the ocean as well as metal pieces charms and a Kaisercraft wood veneer.

To make the mermaid on the paper sparkle a little I added

Featured Design Team Series: Epcot Layout by Donna Coughlin

Epcot Layout
By Donna Coughlin

Hello, today I did this layout for the White Rose Crafts LLC design team. This week we are promoting specialist papers and some paper techniques. I would like to share with you two companies that have some specialty papers. First is Craft Creations and I used the Deep Green Texture and Red Texture with stars and
ASPIRE Petallics Pure Gold Card Stock - 8 1/2 x 11 in 105 lb Cover Mica Metallic. The Craft Creations Texture papers are so awesome. The green texture paper with the gold accents on it are beautiful, as are all the the texture papers! And the green color was perfect for this fabulous picture of my son in Epcot.

The Aspire Gold card stock has a heavy weight and cuts beautifully on the Silhouette Cameo. Here I used a China SVG that was similar to the temple in Epcot.

Then I used it and made a fan using the same way you would fold a rosette. The strip I used was 2 inches by 6 and it made about 1/3 of a rosette. I cut a inch circle from the Craft Creations paper to finish it off.
The top "bamboo" border I made by coloring toothpicks with ink and inserting beads to hold the toothpicks together.

Featured Design Team Series: Asian Inspiration by Donna Coughlin

Asian Inspiration
by Donna Coughlin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My obsession with Asian paper products right now is a little bit out of control, and the papers over at White Rose Crafts LLC is not helping! Hi, Donna here with my designs for White Rose Crafts.
So today I would like to celebrate We are the World and Die cut pop outs.
For the fan I made a half of a rosette and punched out a 1inch circle from the Japanese Paper Pack. For the birds and some of the flowers I used some of the Craft Creations die-cuts and added a pop tab to the tab. See how the birds and flower pop?
A thank you card I made, I used the ink on the thank you chipboard pieces.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My next project is for We are the World. I made this folding screen card. The Craft Creation Birds in Blossom Die-Cut Pop-Out Sheet was used again use pop tabs for the flowers. I also used some tiny pearls, black cardstock and Scrapberry's Japanese Dream Paper Pack 6x6.
Both Craft Creations and Scrapberry are based in UK and very hard to find in the USA. Both have unique quality products but lucky for us can be found at White Rose Crafts LLC.

I not very good at drawing but I tried to give each girl a unique face using fine tips Sharpies and after several tries I found the ones I liked the best . I think this will look super cool with a battery tea light in the center! I made the Kokeshi girls by creating them myself on the Silhouetet Cameo. If you would like the file please email me and I would gladly send it to you. (Personal use only!)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked what I created!

Featured Design Team Series: Embossed & Inked Vellum Flowers Layout by Donna Coughlin

Embossed & Inked Flowers Layout

By Donna Coughlin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi there, Donna Coughlin here with another creation using White Rose Crafts LLC products.
Today my layout is all about inking, and I want to show you how I made the blue flowers using velum, embossing powder and ink, below.
I have two types of flowers on here. The white ones are Recollections which I inked with some Scrapberry Light Brown ink, as well used the brown ink on the edges on the scallop.I also used Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Oxide inks on the edges of the flourishes.
A close up of the upper right cluster. Interested in those flowers? Well keep scrolling down.
First grab a flower stamp and and stamp away on a sheet of velumn. I did about 16 flowers all together. Emboss with white embossing powder, but I think any matching color you want will work.
Next press the backside of the flower onto the ink pad.
I wanted to show you what the back looked like in the light - it doesn't have to perfect, as a matter of fact I prefer it that way.
Next I spritzed with a light mist of water and used a heat gun to dry. Then cut out the flower.
On this one I stacked and glued 3 flowers and squeezed the tops of the petals together. For the center I glue tiny pieces of velumn scraps to the center with glue.
There are so many possibilities and I hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
