Featured Design Team Series: House of Roses Folio Mini Album by Debbie Sherman

Hello Friends! Today I'm sharing some great news and a my first design team layout for the  

White Rose Crafts Design Team!  This week we are featuring Lemoncraft.

My first project is a Folio mini album and it Features the paper line House of Roses.  

This project is loaded with fussy cutting and layering! Sprinkled throughout the cover are sequins

 and seed beads for sparkle and glitz.

I started by creating a small envelope and then tucking in a House of Roses Musical Ephemera card. 

I fussy cut several butterflies and flower sprays from the matching  House of Roses Musical Ephemera sheet. 

The inside of this little album holds lots of photos and is small enough to be set on a coffee table or even carry in your purse if you like.  The left side is filled with places to journal and lots of tags made with the House of Roses Musical Ephemera.

Hello everyone, I am super excited to be part of the White Rose Crafts Design Team!  This store has some very unique items you just can't find in the USA! This week we are featuring Lemon Craft. This Polish company  makes some beautiful papers!

Here is my layout - aren't the colors and papers just gorgeous! And for those of you who think you need special tools to distress I have a great tip down below. The base paper was so pretty I didn't want to hide the flowers so I took the wood grain paper and tore it to expose the flowers. I love how the papers matched my granddaughters shirt!

Here I made a "Faux Flair" by cutting out a 1 inch circle and adding an epoxy circle to it. Also tucked some of the ephemera into the tears. The Lemoncraft Ephemera Sheets is a  perfect embellishment!

I love to get white flowers because then I can add color anyway I want to match my projects. On these flowers I just added some Glimmer Mist to give it a slight color and sparkle. It's hard to see in the photos but the flowers have a little bit a sparkle.

I lifted up the flowers  with some pop tabs and the butterflies I folded in half and just added a bit of glue down the body of the butterfly to adhere it.

Now for my tip. I never can find my distresser when I need it, and you don't need a special tool to distress edges.  I always have scissors laying everywhere on my desk it is just as easy to use them.  Just run your scissor blade along the edge to get the same effect.

Debbie Sherman resides in the great state of Wyoming where she spends her time with her chocolate labs, Mojo and Rage (her favorite kind of chocolate) playing fetch and scrap booking her days away. She is married with 1 son and 2 grown daughters. She has 8 grandchildren who are very busy so there's always a photo opportunity. You will be seeing lots of them in her layouts. Debbie also spends time playing with her camera and looking for photo opportunities where ever she can. She loves landscape and sports photography.

Donna Coughlin lives in a small town outside of Reading, PA. She is married with 5 children and 10 grandchildren, so she never runs out of pictures for scrapbooking! She is an accountant by day, because something has to pay for her obsession with scrapbook supplies. Her other passions are her grandkids, vacations--she is a certified Disney nut--and she loves antiques, especially old tin items. Her passion for paper crafting started in 1982 when scrapbooking was just taking off. She says, "I wanted a unique way to display our Disney vacation pictures and scrapbooking was the way to go. So I purchased some paper, stickers, some of those wonky decorative scissors and I never looked back! In a few short years I went from a box of supplies and working on my dining room table to remodeling my house so I could have a whole room to scrap in." Besides creating layouts, Donna also dabbles in Project Life layouts, cards, home crafts, and just about anything you can do with paper. She loves trying out new products and techniques.

Laura Wolff is the wife of an agronomist and mother to 3 kiddos living on a farm in middle of nowhere Kansas. Most of the time she loves it, but it isn't that great when shopping for craft supplies! We at WhiteRoseCraftsLLC.com 

are holding an Open Design Team Call 

for our Summer Term!

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, confident, and dedicated to paper crafting in a variety of styles, and love using a variety of products from many international companies, as well as some of your favorite US based brands. We expect you to be able to take clear, bright, quality photographs of your work and to be familiar and comfortable posting your projects on a variety of social media platforms, as well as sharing promotions, giveaways, announcements and news related to the store. If this sounds like you, see below for application requirements and details!

Note: This is a short DT Call, so be sure to get your application in no later than Mon, May 21, 2018 11:59pm EST.

We are looking to fill one or two, 4 month minimum spots on our growing design team. We would love to add another member who is strong in Mixed Media, Altered Arts and Shabby Chic style projects, but all design styles will be considered. 

Term Design Team Requirements: 

Must reside in the USA or Canada.

Must Love Papercrafting and creating with a variety of products.

Must love working with products from a variety of different companies and countries (visitwww.whiterosecraftsllc.com to see the wide selection of brands and products we carry).

Must be able to take clear, bright, quality photographs of your projects

Must have an active Instagram and Facebook account, as well as an active blog that includes frequent papercrafting related posts. You must be able to interact with the design team in our Secret Facebook group, as this is the fastest way for us to communicate with the team as a whole and is where the monthly sign up calendar will be posted.

Must be willing to help grow and increase exposure for the Store and be an active, up-beat, and supportive member of the team. We expect posts on behalf of White Rose Crafts to be professional in nature. We ask that you are encouraging and supportive both with the other team members as well as existing and potential customers. We want you to present your projects and feel comfortable sharing feedback, ideas, favorite products, tips and tricks.

Design team members are required to share a minimum of 4 projects per month using products available at White Rose Crafts, to be posted weekly, that will be featured on our Facebook page, Instagram and Blog. You will not be restricted to use only products sold at White Rose, but we do ask that they be the primary focus. Please do not use image stamps, detailed stand alone dies, embellishments or patterned paper packs that are not available for purchase at whiterosecraftsllc.com.

Must be willing to create at least one additional project using one or more featured themes or companies on certain promotional months. (You will receive additional product in your design team packages for these months.)

Must be willing to post design team projects on your personal social media pages and in any Facebook groups you are a member of that will allow it. We ask that you link back to whiterosecraftsllc.com wherever possible and always use your personalized watermark that will be provided to you.

Must be willing to participate in and promote our new, monthly Gallery Group challenge.

Design team terms are a minimum of 4 months (this term will begin June 1 and end September 30 2018), with the option to extend as long as design team requirements are being met and owner, Kay Barnes, is pleased with your performance. You may be on other Design Teams for digital artists, stamp/die companies or product manufacturers, but we do ask that you are not on a permanent design team for another online retail craft store that carries multiple brands, as it is a conflict of interest (there may be exceptions to this rule-but permission must be obtained from Kay), however, you must be able to keep up with your White Rose Crafts design team requirements.
Term Design Team Compensation:

$20 per month in store credit (plus free shipping) to purchase a design team package of your choice or our Limited Edition, Bi-Montly Card Kit (a $29.50 retail value). Kits are issued to Design Team members, for promotional purposes, one month before they are released and will be available for preorder during that time. During certain months, you may be asked to include at least one product from a specific theme or brand in your choice package. You will receive additional store credit or a specific product selected by Kay on those months, and will be expected to create a 5th project using promotional products. (You will be expected to complete a 5th project during Kit months too. You will be exempt from participating in the June 2018 Kit promotion)

Mini sample packs of at least 4 Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends (available exclusively at White Rose Crafts LLC) from each Bi-Montly release, provided and shipped by DPP owner, Amber MacMurtry (approximately 1tsp of product). The next release is June 1st.

Additional exposure for your work, as we will be featuring it on our company social media pages and Blog.

Links back to your personal blog, and tag backs on Instagram and facebook for posts featuring your work.
