When I received this Craft Card kit I was so excited to try it out. Sometimes I am a rebel and I use card kits to make Scrapbook pages. I came across a picture of my daughter wearing every piece of jewelry she owns. LOL!
I knew I had to use all the pretty girls included in the kit to make a Layout for this picture.
Below you will find a step by step picture tutorial on how the layout came together.
Step one: Gather Supplies
Step 2: Cut Cardstock down to the sizes seen above.
Step 3 - Optional. Cut a 10" x 10" square out of the bottom cardstock. I feel less wasteful. :)
Step 4: Glue down the previously cut Cardstock.
Step 5: Assemble the Gorjuss Girls. Use pop dots
Step 6: Arrange the girls on top of the wood frames.
(Not included in kit must purchase separately)
Step 7: Use card bases as picture frames. Cut down to 4 x 3. These will become the Picture Frames
Step 8: Use two of the above embellishments to frame your title.
Step 8: Cut ribbon down to size to use under the picture frames.
For this Scrapbook layout I used just the die cut portion of the Die Cut sheet. I used the Circled part below and reserved the portion with the X for a future project.
Check out all the pretty girls available for purchase. These are only 2.99 that is a bargain and a collection of stamps worth having.
These are the stamps that I own: They are Beautiful!
Loving this month’s theme of water, I personally enjoy
creating with water creatures and scenes. This card is made using several
companies’ products which are all available on the White Rose Craft website.
I started this card by preparing all the components of the
card. I cut a layer one in white cardstock (4 x 5 ¼ in) and die cut a stitched
circle opening in it. I stamped the sentiment in black ink on this piece. I cut
a piece of watercolor paper to create the water background to fill the circle
opening. On this paper I used the “smooshing technique”.This was done by putting the three shades of
blue oxide ink onto my silicon mat and sprayed the ink with water. One at a
time I “smooshed” the ink onto the watercolor paper making sure it was dry
before adding the next color. I used a heat/drying gun to dry ink between
colors.
Now I stamped the Lawn Fawn pieces and cut them out. I then
colored the pieces using ink markers. (You can use any coloring medium that you
are comfortable using.)
The final step is to assemble the card. The water background
was attached to the layer one and using foam tape it was then adhered to the
card base. Next the frogs and plants are placed in an arrangement that is
pleasing to the eye. (Some pieces fall within the circle and others are on the
edge and outside of the circle.) The final step is to add a few sequins to the
card front.
You can get all the supplies for this card and many more
projects at White Rose Crafts. I am always inspired when I look at all the
stamp sets, inks and embellishments available on their website.

Here is my card base on the sketch and using the New July Mediterranean Dreams Kit.
Let's get started on how I created this card.
I gathered all the components for the card. I brought in dark blue & orange cardstock from my stash. I cut the sentiment topper from the 12 x 12 sheet as well as the strip of pattern paper with the sea life on it. I also fussy cut out one of the tiny fish. Then, I added a bit of Distress Oxide ink in Faded Jeans to the sentiment, the pattern paper strip and the blue pattern paper.
Next, I adhered the topper to the dark blue cardstock and rounded the corners on one side.
then. added some foam tape to the back and placed it onto the blue specialty paper. Again, rounding the corners.
Now, for the card front panel. I adhered the blue pattern paper to craft foam.
Then, I adhered the strip of pattern paper to the dark blue cardstock and trimmed it. Leaving a nice thin edge all around the strip. I then adhered it to the blue pattern paper.
Next, I cut two pieces of blue cord from the kit. I quickly realized that I wanted some more color to that side of the card. So, I brought in a piece of orange cord from my stash. I adhered the three cords to the back of the craft foam on the top and bottom of the panel.
Then, I placed the blue pattern paper onto the orange cardstock.
I then adhered the Sentiment using foam tape onto the card front panel. Next, I added the tiny fish with foam tape just above the sentiment and added a few of the Sparkle Blend from the kit for a finishing touch.

Adam here! (Guest Designer for those of you who are asking
yourself who the heck is Adam.) Today we are using the White Rose Craft’s
Monthly Card Sketch Challenge for inspiration. I chose to make the card by
rotating the sketch 90 degrees. I hope you all can see this sketch in my
card.
The theme for July is water so I have included a water scene
in my card for this month. What better way to invoke summer then an image of
cool water and the creatures that live in it.
I like to start by cutting out all of my paper needs for the
card.I am using a standard A2 card
base. I cut a 4 ¼“ x 5 ½” layer of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid. I then cut a 5 ½”
x 3/4” piece of Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka in the Meadow for the strip down the side
and a second piece large enough to use for the sentiment. Finally, I die cut an oval out of white cardstock
and a strip of white 4 ¼” x ¾” for the horizontal strip. I always like to
suggest that anyone wanting to case my cards to do so but feel free to choose
papers and colors that suit you.
I stamped all the elements/pieces on white cardstock and cut
them out. I colored the pieces using Tim Holtz oxide inks for the backgrounds and
Copic Markers for the rest. I blended the oxide inks and splattered with water
to create the water bubble effect. The seaweed and coral from the Your Next Stamp Fishy Fun stamp set is only a part of this image filled stamp set. The sandy bottom is an oval cut down to create the
ocean bottom. It was cut out of tan cardstock and splattered with Tim Holt’s re-inker
in brown.
The final step is to assemble all the pieces. Using double
sided tape, I attached all the pieces. The sentiment is stamped in MementoTuxedo Black ink and attached using foam tape to give dimension. Then I thought
the card needed a bit more pop/dimension so I used foam tape to reattach the
sea turtle to the scene. As you see my
cards you will soon learn I cannot stop until I add a few sequins or shiny
bits to the card. What better way than to add some Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends (sequins).
I hope you enjoy seeing my projects and shop White RoseCrafts for this projects supplies as well as all your crafting needs.
