Alison Heikkila is from Long Island, NY & has been crafting since she could hold a crayon. She has always been a

card maker as well as a jewelry maker, and now has an art degree and says the only medium she rarely works with is yarn. Alison loves to share ideas and to experiment with new styles and techniques. She is a self proclaimed eclectic crafter, ranging in style from CAS & Cute to gothac or vintage. Most recently, she has gotten into doing live videos on her Facebook Channel, and plans to create more content for her YouTube channel soon, too!

Shannon is a stay at home mom to two children and two miniature dachshund fur babies. She loves all the "mom" staples like Coffee, books & music, but is also obsessed with tattoos, color swatch Pinterest pins & Bill Murray. When she isn't creating, she's watching her son, Paddy and his team mates play football, volunteering at her kid's school or her church. If she can't be found any of those places, she says it's likely she's out pretending to exercise by walking at a sloth's pace.

Esther hails from Phoenix, Arizona & has been crafting for over 20 years & loves creating beautiful things with her hands. She loves layering and incorporating different techniques and styles.

October 2018 Card Sketch Challenge

Hello Rosies!

Today is October 1st, which means it is time for a new Card Sketch Challenge at White Rose Crafts. We love the sketch for this month, and I hope you do too!

Here is Design Team Member, LeeAnn McKinney's example project for this month:

LeeAnn here, and for my project I first used Distress Oxides in Candied Apple and Lucky Clover to make my background panels. I used a wavy stitched die to cut the pieces and put them together on a brown card panel, and then on a copper panel. 

I cut an oval out of cardstock and my fishtail banners from white. The images and sentiment are Lawn Fawn's Caramel Apple stamp set and colored with Chameleon markers. I used Memento Tuxedo Black for my stamping. 

So which is your favorite apple, Green or Red? Mine is and always has been green.
