Love Muffin with Guest Designer Meghan

Hi Crafty Friends,
It is Meghan and I have had SO MUCH FUN Guest Designing for White Rose Crafts these past two months. This is my LAST post but hopefully they will have me again! I love this little stamp set because my dad calls me "Meghan Muffin" because I make muffins all the time!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Do you like muffins? What are your favorite?
A: Me? YES! I love making mini muffins and my favorite is Pumpkin Protein!

I started my card using this cute paper pack from White Rose Crafts Doodle Bug Design called Puppy Love. I used it for my panel. And the red heart stripe across the lower part of my card.

I colored my muffins to match all the colors of my heart using Copic markers and cut them out using the White Rose Crafts Your Next Stamp Love Muffin Die.

I mounted the muffins on the card across the bottom taping three of them down flat and popping up the orange and teal one. I then die cut a stitched flag banner die for my sentiment.

I finished my card by stamping the LOVE muffin and Have a Sweet Day! sentiments.

You're Cool Beans

Hi Crafty Friends,
It is Meghan and I am so EXCITED to be on my 2nd month of Guest Designing for White Rose Crafts! I'm here with another FUN sketch challenge!

This month's theme is fall and what goes better with cooler weather than hot coffee? I used fall colors for this fun Thanks a Latte cup, I hope it warms your heart and brings a smile to your face.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite fall coffee flavor?
A: Me? I like warm vanilla stevia in my dark roast coffee

I used a fun fall paper pack from Pink and Main. White Rose Crafts has so many cute fall paper packs you can find them all here. I added a brown polka dot ribbon for the diagonal stripe. I die cut the circle from a stitched circle die. I finished my card stamping the steam from the cups, the coffee bean accents and the sentiment.

July Sketch Challenge with Adam

Hello Friends,
Adam here! (Guest Designer for those of you who are asking yourself who the heck is Adam.) Today we are using the White Rose Craft’s Monthly Card Sketch Challenge for inspiration. I chose to make the card by rotating the sketch 90 degrees. I hope you all can see this sketch in my card.
The theme for July is water so I have included a water scene in my card for this month. What better way to invoke summer then an image of cool water and the creatures that live in it.
Supplies:
Your Next Stamp – Fishy Fun
                Lawn Fawn Paper- Perfectly Plaid
Lawn Fawn Paper- Let’s Polka in the Meadow
Tim Holtz Oxide ink- Peacock Feathers and Broken China
                Memento Tuxedo Black ink
                Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle (sequins)

I like to start by cutting out all of my paper needs for the card.  I am using a standard A2 card base. I cut a 4 ¼“ x 5 ½” layer of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid. I then cut a 5 ½” x 3/4” piece of Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka in the Meadow for the strip down the side and a second piece large enough to use for the sentiment.  Finally, I die cut an oval out of white cardstock and a strip of white 4 ¼” x ¾” for the horizontal strip. I always like to suggest that anyone wanting to case my cards to do so but feel free to choose papers and colors that suit you.
I stamped all the elements/pieces on white cardstock and cut them out. I colored the pieces using Tim Holtz oxide inks for the backgrounds and Copic Markers for the rest. I blended the oxide inks and splattered with water to create the water bubble effect. The seaweed and coral from the Your Next Stamp Fishy Fun stamp set is only a part of this image filled stamp set. The sandy bottom is an oval cut down to create the ocean bottom. It was cut out of tan cardstock and splattered with Tim Holt’s re-inker in brown.
The final step is to assemble all the pieces. Using double sided tape, I attached all the pieces. The sentiment is stamped in MementoTuxedo Black ink and attached using foam tape to give dimension. Then I thought the card needed a bit more pop/dimension so I used foam tape to reattach the sea turtle to the scene.  As you see my cards you will soon learn I cannot stop until I add a few sequins or shiny bits to the card. What better way than to add some Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends (sequins).
I hope you enjoy seeing my projects and shop White RoseCrafts for this projects supplies as well as all your crafting needs.

You make me Happy- a card by Guest Designer Adam

Hi All,
Adam here with another super fun card made with a Your Next Stamp – Humming By stamp set.  All my supplies are readily available at White Rose Crafts.  They are promoting summer themed cards for the month of June. I chose to create with a hummingbird and sunflower because I know summer is upon us when I see my first hummingbird.
I like to start by letting you all know what supplies are needed to create the card I am working on today.  They are:
     Masking tape/sheets/post-it notes
Tim Holtz Oxide ink – background colors of choice (Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced
     Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon)
Black ink for image stamping such as Memento Dye Ink in Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers/coloring medium of your choice in colors of your choice
     White, green and black cardstock
     Glue and Double sided tape
Sequins – Doodles Paper Playground Limited

First, I stamp images to be colored on white card stock. I cut out the images and color them using Copic Markers.

The next step is masking the layer one (4” x 5 ¼”) white card stock in preparation for ink blending.  I like to use the upper 2/3rds of my design space on the card because this follows the rule of thirds. With this in mind I taped off two thin stripes and a larger strip.
Using three colors of Tim Holtz oxide that felt like summertime to me, I blended light to dark onto the card.  (Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon)
Now it is time for the assembling of the card.  I used double sided tape to adhere the sunflower and foam tape to pop the hummingbird to the blended area.  Using black ink I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set under the blended area. Added a few Doodles Paper Playground Limited   sequins and thought I was finished only to decide it needed a grounding effect for the sunflower. I decided to add a thin strip of black cardstock at the bottom of the blended area. I glued the card layer to a green card base to complete the project

Hope everyone enjoyed this clean and simple summer project. Make sure you check out White Rose Crafts when looking for creative crafting supplies.
