Have Strength

 Good morning!
I enjoy creating mixed media layouts about our sons and love great color combos like blue and brown - one of my favourites

I covered the Couture Creations Gentleman's Emporium paper with clear gesso and allowed to dry.  I used both sides of this paper for the middle overlapped papers and distress the edges of all papers

I then used texture paste with the AALL & Create Splatter Stencil, and brown ink with the Lotza Stars Stencil also from AALL & Create.

I trimmed the title off the bottom cut off one of the Couture Creations papers

Finally I added some dyed and distressed flowers and cheese cloth as well as some art stones and beads.

Vintage Tags

  Hello, friends!

It's Nancy here with a new project!

For today's project, I have created some vintage tags.
These tags will be inserted into some junk journal pages.
I'll be sharing those in a future post.

All of my tags today feature the beautiful

Vintage Summer Collection by 13@rts,

along with

Lace (Style M) 1" Wide.

These papers are so pretty, and perfect to use for junk journal inserts.
They have such a wonderful vintage feel to them.

Here's my first set:

I began with a kraft tag base.
I cut the decorative paper slightly smaller.
After distressing the edges with both a tool and ink,
I adhered the layers together.

I added a strip of the pretty white lace across the bottom of the tags.
I also added a strip of colored ribbon across the top of the lace.
A bit of lace tied with ribbons, at the top of the tags, and they were finished.

These two tags were made in the same manner.
I simply used a different paper from the collection,
along with a colored ribbon that coordinated.

These will look so great in my journal!
As you'll see once I have the pages together!

For A Special Girl Card

  Hello, friends!

It's Nancy here today with a fun new card.

I've gone back to this adorable stamp set that I have previously used:

Woodware UK Stamp Set - Girlie Fun

It is just the sweetest set,
and pairs beautifully with the BoBunny Believe Collection

I began by adding the pretty rainbow paper to my white card base.
I then stamped, colored, and fussy cut the sweet image.
I also stamped the sentiment.

I used foam tape to adhere them both to the card.

Here's a closer look at the fun image.
To finish things off, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in white,
to denote the bouncing movement.

I'm having the best time using this sweet stamp set.
I'll be sharing another card with it soon!

You Are Amazing Color Glow Tag

  Hello, friends!

It's Nancy back to share some fun!

As I did last week, I am again featuring the great 13@rts
Color Glow Water Color Powders!

This time I created a tag:

I began with an oval chipboard base.
I covered it with blue paper, then added another smaller oval paper on top,
both from the Rose In Love Collection.

I added one of the fun clear stickers from the Alice In Candyland Sticker Sheet.

To paint all the pretty Stamperia Winter Tails Chipboard,
I used the Color Glow Watercolor Powders.
I simply spritzed some water onto my craft sheet,
and added in some of the Topaz powders.
After mixing it in, I simply brushed it on.
Look at that fabulous shimmer!

To finish things off, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops,
and tied some Raffia String through an eyelet at the top of the tag.

The Color Glow Powders are so much fun to play with,
and they come in a multitude of gorgeous colors!

Check them all out HERE.

I used hot glue with a flourish mould I had in my stash then painted it with the colorglow powders mixed with acrylic medium!

I also painted my chipboard pieces with the same mixture

Color Glow Art Journal Page

  Hello, my friends!

It's Nancy back with you today!

I am featuring some fabulous Color Glow from 13@rts!

This was my first time using the Color Glow Watercolor Powders.
I was actually just having an initial play in my art journal
but decided to go ahead and make this my post project.

Here's my page:

I began by mixing a little bit of the Amethyst Color Glow Powders with some texture paste.
I ran it through my stencil, concentrating on the corners.
There was such lovely dimension and deep color.

Since I was just having a play,
I then grabbed a wet paintbrush and brushed over the stenciling.
There was enough pigment there to color the entire page.

Once my page was all dried, and looking really good,
I went on to finish it for my post.
I took the gorgeous rose heart page from the 13@rts Rose In Love Paper Pad.
I tore the image out because I wanted the rough edge.
The pink was slightly off color from the background,
so I just did a light wash of the Color Glow over it.

I adhered the torn heart to my art journal page,
placing a piece of cheesecloth behind it.

These Color Glow Water Color Powders are so versatile
and fun to play with!
I'll be back next week to share another project using them!
