Featured Design Team Series: 14 Christmas Cards, 3 Decoupage Sheets by Amber MacMurtry

Happy Holidays Rosies, Amber here, and I'm taking over the blog today to share 14 (yes, you read that right) cards with you! 

Although Christmas 2018 has officially passed, I'm still feeling in the holiday spirit--Plus, I still had 3 Holiday themed pop-out decoupage sheets by Craft Creations UK left from my last White Rose Crafts Design Team package. 

I decided to get a head start on my personal challenge to create one Christmas card per week during 2019 and create as many cards as possible using them. I had intentionally selected sheets with several small images, so I could get the most bang for my buck, and let me tell you--3 hours and 14 cute cards with tons of dimension later, I couldn't be happier! 

The Craft Creations decoupage sheets are literally idiot proof--everything that goes together is labeled together. Not to mention, if I'd wanted to, I could have even split up each of the elements of the doggies and kitties to create another 8 cards with less dimension, so the value of these sheets is really incredible! I hope you've found some inspiration in my projects today! I really enjoyed putting these together and LOVE that I was able to use up some of my Christmas Paper stash (to make room for some new selections, of course!) All 14 of these cards took about 3 hours to put together, assembly line style, and that was with a 3.5 year old buzzing around trying to get attention and my special needs 4 year old still getting over a cold--so probably less time if you could be completely focused on the task! I love that I already have 14 cards ready to go for next year, and 2019 hasn't even started yet!

Today our design team is playing around with the vast array of crafting supplies you can find in the  December Kit Add-Ons.  So prepare yourself for all the fun and the very cool line up of projects our team has prepared for you.

I first used Distress Oxide Ink in broken china and random stamped the two snowflake stamps that are part of the cute Winter Penguin Stamp Set lawn fawn set all over the top part of the card base.  Then I stamped the sentiment happy holidays, also included in the Lawn Fawn Winter Penguin stamp set, usingTuxedo Black Ink.  I cut a piece of the pretty Lawn Fawn Plaid Winter Paper Pack to 2 3/4 inch by 5.5 to fit my card base and adhered it.  Then I cut a 5.5 inch piece of the American Crafts Dollar Ribbon Ivory Glitter, which I feel looks just like sparkly snow, and adhered that to the card base that was previously randomly snow flaked stamped with a little bit of it overflowing onto the plaid paper.

I used the matching Winter Penguin Die for the winter penguin to cut a stamped penguin out.  Once I colored him - -I adhered him usingAdhesive Mounting Foam Tape to give the card some dimension. To finish the look I used a Tsukineko Spounge Dauber and the Distress Oxide in Broken China to distress around the edges of the entire card and added a white Bumper Buttons at the one end of the glitter ribbon.

Whola Easy Peasy cute creation and all thanks to the supplies available at White Rose Crafts!!!
