2019 Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - We're a Super Sponsor

I'm a firm lover of coffee related products and cute critters, so I decided to combine some of the great papers and Sparkle Blend sequins included in the kit with another fantastic Little Acres Creations stamp set for my inspiration card, today.

I began by cutting a 4 x 5 1/2 inch panel of the adorable coffee cup patterned paper from the included Echo Park Coffee paper pack. I adhered it to a top folding, Salmon colored A2 card base. Next I cut a strip of the red gingham paper to 1 1/2 x 4 inches, cutting a wavy pattern along the bottom edge to look a bit like a table cloth & adhered it . I drew in table legs with a black marker.

Next I stamped the adorable mouse sitting on the tea cup, the sugar cubes and the tea bag tag from the Little Acres Creations Cafe Dreamers stamp set (retired & available in extremely limited quantities, exclusively at WRC), using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I Copic colored the images with some of the soft pastel colors that always make me think of spring, before fussy cutting them right on the line. I went around the edges of each image, from the back side, with a black pigment ink pen, to clean up my imperfect cutting. After coloring in some shadow with a grey maker, I adhered the images to the bottom right of the card with glue dots, so they appear to sit on a table, with the sugar cubes layered on top of the cup, and the tag on top of the cubes, to give the illusion of dimension. Using a fine tip pen, I drew a string for the tea bag, leading under the cup. 

I stamped the 2 part, dual font sentiment "Face each day with...A cup full of coffee and a heart full of dreams" (even though its a teacup...) on a scrap of white cardstock using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and cut them into banner shapes. I cut a small banner from a scrap of the red gingham paper & another from a small scrap of white cardstock, using them to assemble a sentiment cluster. For finishing touches, I used a brown, fineliner pen to draw faux stitches around the edge of the white sentiment banners to help them stand out a bit more, added a coating of clear shimmer pen to the sugar cubes and gingham banner and just a few sequins from the exclusive Caffeinated Sparkle Blend, for subtle shine.

On the inside of the card, I kept things simple, mounting a square scrap of gingham paper on white cardstock and adhering 2 different coffee cups & a simple sentiment sticker from the Echo Park Coffee sticker sheet, included in the kit.
