Crafting with Esther

Hey Rosies!  It's Esther from Eagle Craftz, and today I am sharing a quick tip and a Very easy card. When I received my Love Story kit I used my Cameo to cut out the ScrapBerry embellishment page. It makes it much easier than fuzzy cutting.
Isn’t it beautiful!! Well I decided I needed all those pretties at the ready! I used my Cameo however I believe most die cut machines have a similar function. I scanned, traced, and let the machine do the magic.
Once I had all the embellishments cut it was easy to put cards together. I used some of the pretty hearts, the lace, and the stamp set that came with the kit. I added the blue cardstock from my stash. So cool to be able to create completely different looking cards with the same kit.

I finished it up with Nuvo Crystal Drops that also came in the kit. This card has less layers than usual, but I like the simplicity of it. I hope I have inspired you to dust off your Die Cutting Machines, pull out your kit, and make lots of pretty valentines. Don’t forget to share with us. White Rose Crafts Gallery, is a super place to share and inspire many Rosie’s! Join Us!!
Thank you all so much for stopping by.
Previous cards made with the kit.

Create with Kim

Good morning Rosies! Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This time I have created a fun mini art journal!
You are going to be seeing me use this little journal over the coming weeks as I create some fun art pages in it using more White Rose Crafts items, I can't wait!

The first step to making this journal is to gather up all my little bits and pieces I have left over from all my other White Rose Crafts projects.  I keep all my scraps in a bin when I am finished a project, and this is such a great way to use them up.

Once I have decided what I am going to use, I stack them on top of each other, remembering not to use too many as I wanted to sew down the centre of the papers on my sewing machine so they would be attached to each other.

Once I sewed all the papers together, I used a couple of pieces of Lemoncraft Yesterday Ephemera for my cover of my little journal. I used black thread on my journal to make it stand out and used a zig zag pattern as well for some fun.
I stacked two of the ephemera pieces together and added some sparkly blue tulle in between the cards for texture.

Once that was done, it was time to work on the cover for the journal. I used some fun material from my stash, and ended up making the journal 5 x 7 inches. This is a great size for a small journal as it can fit inside a purse and you can take it anywhere with you.

Once the cover was complete, I sewed in the paper stack by just doing another stitch down the middle of the paper and cover. Don't forget to back stitch so you have a good locking stitch and your journal won't come apart.

I attached some more of the fabric to the side of the journal for a closure.

Here you can see the inside of the completed journal.

I hope you like my little journal. I will be working on this journal over the next month and creating some art inside it to share with you all! So stay tuned for some fun White Rose Craft art journal pages from me. I have a complete list of the paper scraps I used for my journal below for you.
I hope you will make one of these fun little journals for yourself with all your White Rose Crafts goodies and scraps!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here.

Creative Creations
Volumen II, Chapter I

All week long our Design team has been creating inspiration with this month's Sketch Challenge.  Whether our team has been using our January "Love Story" Subscription Kit, or any of the vast array of products White Rose Crafts carries over in the store, their interpretations of our January Challenge Sketch has been gorgeous, if we don't say so ourselves.

If you haven't yet see this month's challenge sketch, here it is, with all it's layers and twinkles.
The January Sketch Challenge is open from January 1st to January 25th. Limit maximum 3 entries per person. We will randomly pick one participant to receive a $15 White Rose Crafts e-gift card. Please feature something sold on the WRC store site in your project. If you're not sure if you have something... take a look in the shop... you may be surprised. Then, you can upload your project to the WRC Fan Page on Facebook HERE.

Alison went with a bright topical interoperation of this sketch, utilizing Craft Creations Die Cut Decoupage image as the main focus.

Amber stuck to a winter themed card using Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid papers and Winter Penguin stamp set.

Kim created a romantic project, focusing on laying papers from the Graphic 45 Princess Collection.

Laura create a bold project using BoBunny's Forest Friends stamp set and Little Wonders paper pad.

Esther layered papers and stamps from our January "Love Story" Subscription Kit to create her version of our sketch challenge.

LeeAnn also used the  January "Love Story" Subscription Kit, but came up with a soft and sweet sketch card.

Anna-Marie
Anna-Marie show how much texture is possible with this month's Kit.  Her inspiration card is one you just want to touch.

Here is a third look at January "Love Story" Subscription Kit and yet a very different look.  This is one of five cards EK created, and she has a video up showing exactly how she layered this project.

One of the new things we are trying to do here at WRC is show case what you have been doing while using craft supplies from the shop.

This week we spotted this gorgeous sketch challenge entry from Verna A., who has already loaded her challenge submission up into the WRC Facebook Gallery.
We are just loving how Verna colored the Wild Rose Studio Cat with Heart stamp set.

Want to be featured in our weekly spot light?  Then just load what you have been working on to our Facebook Gallery or add the #whiterosecraftsusa to your social media posts.  You might just be featured next!

Where Will Your Dreams Take You?

Good morning Rosies! Kim here today with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
We are starting off the New Year with a sketch challenge!

I am using the gorgeous Graphic 45 Princess collection for my card today. I started off with one of the Neenah A2 parchment card and envelopes from the WRC store.
I then layered on lots of pieces from the collection, in the style of the sketch challenge, and edged all the papers with the Distress Ink Vintage Photo from WRC.

I added a fun little wooden crown from my stash and used some of the Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard to give the crown some sparkle!

I hope you will give this fun sketch a try, and check out all the great items in the White Rose Crafts Store!
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here!
