Same Card, 2 Color Palettes

Hello and welcome back! Today I am sharing 2 cards that have the same composition, but in totally different color palettes. I have been having a great time playing with the Simply Celebrate stamp set from Lawn Fawn and I thought it would be fun to play with different color combinations.
When making cards that have the same layout, it's really helpful to use a stamp positioning tool. This way, you can recreate the projects quickly and easily, while taking out a lot of the guesswork.
The first version I created used cool tones, which I tend to gravitate towards, so these colors came easily to me. I colored both of the card's stamped images with Zig Clean Color Markers. Coloring those balloons was a lot of fun! For the inked stripes at the bottom of this card, I used ScrapBerry's BlueGreen, and Pink Stains Ink. My base is a deep orchid purple.
No extra embellishments used here, as I thought the card made enough of a statement without the extra "stuff."
For this card, I used citrus colors. I don't use these colors as often as I use cool tones, and it is so nice to step out of my normal style. The stripes on this card used Abandoned CoralMowed Lawn, and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks. I also used Barn Door around the edges of my card base.
I think this card design is perfect for birthday party invitations, especially since the stamping and coloring doesn't take long at all. Playing with different color palettes on a simple card is always fun too! Head on over to White Rose Crafts LLC to check out all of the supplies i used for today's card, and some of the newest products that have just arrived. That's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Hoppy Easter with Guest Designer Annie

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with 2 Cards and 1 stamp set.

I wanted to create one playful card and one more grown-up card.
Because I was creating 2 cards I kept the design pretty simple and this post quick.

I used the Woodware Easter Bunnies Stamp Set. I kept my supplies to a minimum. Using the same pattern paper and similar colors for both cards.

Card 1- I used the bunny, small basket, the small chick in egg and the tulip. I used some the Green Mulberry paper for my grass. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set.

Card 2 - I stamped the bunny in the basket and the small cluster of eggs. I backed the stamped and colored images onto the Craft Creations White & Gold Foiled pattern paper. I used the
and embellish the card with the Delicate Flowers - in Violet

With so many beautiful stamps, papers, Specialty papers & Inks in the shop
I know you are bound to create something wonderful!

Blue Skies with Guest Designer Annie

Hello Crafty Friends - It is Annie Collins and I am guest designing this month and today I  wanted to show how versatile the White Rose Crafts kits are that I created 3 cards one a bit more detailed than the next. So, no matter what level card maker you are you can definitely create plenty of cards from the kits.

I am using the  March "Blue Skies" Subscription Kit This kit is beautiful - it has shades of blue, rich gold, butterflies, uplifting quotes and a fantastic paper and stamp by Kaisercrafts.

Card 1. Do Small Things With Great LOVE

For this card I kept it simple. I used a pattern paper (the stripes) from the kit, another pattern specialty paper from the add-on section(yellow with gold foil) and a cut apart from the large Blue Moon paper from the kit. A small piece of the gold specialty paper that come in the kit to mat the main sentiment. Along with blue cardstock from my stash. I add 2 flowers as embellishments. I added a bit of glitz to the word LOVE with Wink of Stella pen and a bit of gold to the center of the flower with a Gelly Roll Gold Gel pen.

Card. 2 - Escape the Ordinary
This may seem like a complicated card but it's actually easy because Kay has included a pre-scored, pre-die cut card and the matching shaker holder in the kit. I simply cover the front of the card. Cut away the cloud shape to fit the shaker holder. Filled the holder with some of the Sparkle Blends - Sunny Skies from the kit. Seal the back up with a piece of paper now the shaker is complete. I embellish the card with a few strips of the pattern paper from the kit (this paper contains several phrases and patterns like washi tape). I added a blue flower from the kit.

Card 3. Your Wings Already Exist All You Have To Do Is Fly
For this card, I again used one of the cut apart from the large Blue Moon paper. I matted it onto light green cardstock. I cut my card front panel 4" X 5-1/4" I then adhered 2 strips of ribbon from my stash that coordinated with the kit in a diagonal.  Then I matted the white panel onto dark blue cardstock. Next, I adhered using foam adhesive the sentiment. For the embellishments, I used the Silver Peel off Butterflies from the Add-on sections and place them onto some of the beautiful light green Mulberry paper. I trimmed away any of the extras I didn't want. I kept the little silver flowers to add to the card. I then adhered them using a bit of foam tape to the card front panel.

There's still so much left from the March Blue Skies Kit - I have already created 6 cards and I can easily create another 6 more. Kay of White Rose Crafts LLC really packs these kits.

Welcome Spring!

Hello! Alison Heikkila here. Winter has officially come to an end and I am ready to celebrate! So today I am sharing a card that screams Spring with one of my favorite stamps that is available at White Rose Crafts. It's the Hellebore from Stampendous, and yup, I've used this big, beautiful bloom before. It is a true favorite.
A couple of weeks ago, I did a Facebook Live in the White Rose Crafts Gallery group that showed some different techniques with Distress Oxide Inks. One of them was Ink Smooshing, with an embossed image, and coloring on top. This card was mostly made during that video. If you watched the video, what you didn't see was how i finished off the coloring of the Hellebore, and how I added some additional ink to the edges and the embellishments.
I had used some Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz to help move and oxidize the ink while I was making the background. You can see all of the gorgeous shimmer and the flower has from it. To add color to the petals, I used one Zig Clean Color marker and a water brush. I also used one color for the stamens.
I added a simple pre-made sentiment from Kaisercraft's Bombay Sunset 6" x 6" paper pad and a few sequins from the "Amethyst" Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. Adding some Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide to the edges really tied the background into the flower and gave the card more depth.
The techniques I used on this card are fun and pretty easy to do. It's great to this type of coloring on images that you may be intimidated to color. I think it turned out beautiful, and I hope you'll give it a try. Be sure to watch the Facebook Live to see how the background was created. And then, head on over to White Rose Crafts LLC to check out some of the products I used today.
